NORTH HIGH ST - Located on High Street between Northwood and Oakland Avenues, this mixed-use development plans to include 132 apartments with about 6,500 sq ft of retail and office space. 


The Wilson


LANE AVE AND HIGH ST - Goodbye Shell station and hello to upscale living and healthy eating! This mixed-use development plan includes 50 apartment units, parking accommodations and multiple retail store fronts. The most recent additions announced for this site include Chipotle, Starbucks and CoreLife Eatery!

Also a few doors down will be a new White Castle taking over the old Radio Shack store. Take a few more steps down High Street and you will be at the brand new Amazon campus store! This store will be taking over the old UniversiTees space and is set to start construction early April 2017.


The Wellington


16TH-17TH AVE ON HIGH ST-  The Wellington construction site is hard to miss on High Street and is starting to go vertical. This Edwards Communities mixed-use development will house 448 students, 46,000 square feet of ground floor retail, a 5,300 square foot clubhouse amenity for residents, and a large underground parking garage to serve the entire building. The most recent tenants announced for the space include Chick-fil-A, Huntington, CVS and an urban Target retail space. 



1636 NORTH HIGH ST - The old Eddie George's restaurant space on High Street will be replaced by The Crest Gastropub owners' new concept, Trism! Trism will fall under the category of fast-casual restaurant, bar and event space. They will focus on healthy food options and draw much of their inspiration from Alchemy Juice Bar + Cafe located in German Village. The space will transition into more of an upscale bar scene later in the night offering craft cocktails and innovative entertainment. Trism is now open!


15th and High


15TH & HIGH ST - This project is currently working on Phase I infrastructure which deals mostly with underground work. A new storm sewer, rehabilitated sanitary sewer, burial of existing overhead utilities on Pearl Street and street reconstruction and opening of 16th Ave to High Street will be accomplished during this phase. The underground improvements in the area need to be addressed first before anything can go vertical. The first phase is scheduled to wrap up by July 2018 and that's when the real fun begins! Future plans for the area include a proposed signature building, parking garage and University Square.


Highline at Nine


8TH-9TH AVE ON HIGH ST - Construction is well underway on the mixed-use development between 8th-9th Ave on High Street known as Highline at Nine. Another Edwards Communities project, Highline will house up to 480 students above 22,000 sq ft of retail.  CHUMLEY'S will be reopening on the corner of High and 9th and Popeye's was just announced as new the newest retail tenant for this space. This development is scheduled to open in Summer 2017.


Luxe Belle


W 9TH AVE ON HIGH ST - Right across the street from Highline at Nine, work is progressing rapidly on this Preferred Living development. This project is also a mixed-use development with 147 beds, 116-space parking garage and 7,000 sq ft of retail on the bottom floor. So far the only tenant announced is Taco Bell Cantina! This project is planning to wrap up construction by August 2017.


Northside Library


1423 NORTH HIGH ST - Columbus Metropolitan Library's new Northside Branch on High Street is now open! The new and improved library has 27,000 sq ft of space and is a wonderful addition to the surrounding neighborhood. 


7th and High


7th AND HIGH ST - The last development in the long list of projects underway on High Street in the University District is the new mixed-use development at 7th and High. The project, led by CA Ventures, calls for 154 apartments above 15,827 sq ft of retail space and 188 parking spaces. Construction is moving along on this site but no confirmed opening date has been announced.
